Long Beach, Calif., has contracted with locally based Laserfiche to upgrade its electronic records systems for its police and housing departments.

The Minnesota Office of Enterprise Technology has bulk-purchased 32,000 software licenses from Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft.

The Hardin County, Texas, Appraisal District has contracted with St. Charles, Ill.-based The Sidwell Co. to rectify errors in the district's geographic information system (GIS). Also, Fayette County, Ill., has contracted with the company to enhance and upgrade its GIS.
