Undocumented immigrants cost the 24 counties along the United States-Mexico border millions annually in law enforcement and court expenses, according to the United States/Mexico Border Counties Coalition (USMBCC).

$192 million was spent by border counties in fiscal year 2006 to process illegal immigrants.

$4.7 million was reimbursed by the federal government.

$378 is the amount per person spent in Hudspeth County, Texas, to process undocumented immigrants — the most for all border counties.
