Kaspersky Government CyberSecurity Forum coming Oct. 28

The electronic security firm Kaspersky Lab will host a forum on cybersecurity Oct. 28 in Washington, D.C.

The Kaspersky Government Cybersecurity Forum, which will take place at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, will feature the following participants:

  • Nicole Tisdale, Democratic subcommittee director and counsel to the United States House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security, Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.
  • Karen Evans, national director for the US Cyber Challenge.
  • Joel Brenner, former head of National Counterintelligence and Author of America the Vulnerable.
  • Howard Schmidt, former cybersecurity coordinator of the Obama Administration
  • Tom Davis, former Virginia congressman and former chairman of the House Government Reform Committee.
  • Robert Clark, cyber operational lawyer for the Army Cyber Institute, United States Military Academy in West Point.
  • Adam Firestone, president and general manager of Kaspersky Government Security Services, Inc.

The forum will focus on addressing issues of cyber resiliency well before a cyberattack happens. Topics to be discussed include policy, acquisition and engineering processes to create robust and resilient systems to protect government organization from today's sophisticated electronic threats.
