The Jacobsen HR800 is a 16-foot-wide rotary mower. It can mow 20+ acres per hour, and weighs nearly 2,000 pounds less than its direct competitor, according to the manufacturer. The unit is suited for mowing sports fields, parks and green spaces, school grounds, airports, commercial grounds and golf courses. Grounds managers can use the mower to maintain large areas of grass.

The mower features a compact chassis design. It features high-strength, high-performance steel construction. The unit requires less fuel, hydraulic capacity and power to operate, according to the company. A 74.3- horsepower Kubota engine powers the machine. It offers a cutting capacity of 100+ acres per day.

The HR800 (photo below on the left) comes standard with Tilt Sensor Technology (TST). This safety feature automatically monitors and adjusts mower decks to prevent rollovers in hilly conditions.

The mower’s optional cab integrates seamlessly into the machine’s traction unit. The comfortable and ergonomic cabin provides low noise and vibration, and is outfitted with air conditioning and heat, fan, ventilation windows, heated windshield, and a premium air suspension seat.

New SureStrength decks constructed with high-strength, high-performance steel deliver durability in a light, robust design. The unit’s Q AMP variable rate steering provides good response to operator input to mow effortlessly around obstacles. In addition, a new AdaptiCut system automatically adjusts mow speed to ensure consistent cut performance, even through thick grass.

The HR800 is the second mower in a new series of wide-area rotary mowers from Jacobsen. In February, the company introduced the HR700, a 14-foot-wide rotary mower. The series is built on a common narrow platform that navigates through gates and onto transport trailers. The HR800 is almost two feet narrower than its direct competitor, according to the company.
