Georgia Trail Summit

April 11th - 12th, 2014

Past Event:

Hiking, biking, horseback riding, four-wheeling and kayaking.  These are just some of the benefits provided by Georgia’s trails.  Demand for quality trails is on the rise in communities large and small across the state.  Better coordination, technical support and funding are needed to meet the demand.
Welcome to the Georgia Trail Summit April 11 and 12 – the first time Georgia’s entire trail community will convene in 15 years.  The location is the Classic Center and Hilton Garden Inn in Athens.
The summit is open to everyone interested in seeing Georgia’s network of trails grow, especially parks departments, board members of trail groups, users, builders, policy makers, planners, governments, advocates, old salts, new blood and visionaries.
Organizers include the National Park Service, the State of Georgia and 30 trail advocacy nonprofits and concerned citizens.
