Terex AWP opens new facility
Redmond, Wash.-based Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) has opened its new Parts and Logistics Center in North Bend, Wash., just east of Seattle. The center is comprised of two buildings: a 42,000-square-foot logistics facility and a 150,000-square-foot parts warehouse. The warehouse will store and manufacture parts for Genie booms, scissors and aluminum products. “With additional space and room to grow, customers can expect to see additional items added to our parts line-up,” said Siva Balakrishnan, the company’s vice president for global services. “The new facilities provide us with the opportunity to move away from Redmond’s traffic congestion, offering improved freeway access for shipping and receiving our equipment and parts.” Initially, up to 105 employees will work at the North Bend location.
