2012 State Government Per Capita Spending Ranking & Analysis
The 2012 ranking of the states by per-capita government spending measures the fiscal efficiency of states. Site location consultants, corporate site selection executives, political candidates, state and local economic development departments, trade groups, real estate developers and legislative researchers can use the ranking to determine the most efficient, thrifty and fiscally responsible state operations.
In addition, experts from a variety of fields offer their views on the ranking in the comprehensive analysis.
Data and statistics from six sources were used to compile the ranking.

The 2012 ranking of the states by per-capita government spending measures the fiscal efficiency of states. This extensive list of who's who in administration in U.S. cities, townships, and villages includes the top 16 job titles (mayor, purchasing director, public works director, etc.), names, websites, addresses, and main phone numbers for more than 700 cities with populations of 10,000 or more. The list is current as of fall 2011.
