Senior Systems Analyst
Approx. Annual Starting Salary: $65,460

This individual will participate in the more complex and difficult application of information technologies to business opportunities and solutions; to assist in establishing, maintaining and enforcing development standards, processes and procedures; to serve as the technical lead on computer applications from project initialization through implementation and validation; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

MIN. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in computer sciences, business administration, management information systems or a field related to the essential functions. A combination of formal education and directly related work experience may substitute for the degree. Three years of increasingly responsible systems analysis experience with both commercial off-the-shelf solutions and custom applications development.

WHEN ASSIGNED TO ORACLE ERP SUPPORT: Experience in two Oracle Application implementations or significant upgrades. Oracle Certified Application Developer is desirable.

Some of the BENEFITS offered by the city of Las Vegas to regular employees include: Vacation and Sick Leave: Annual leave is accrued from the first day worked, and employees are eligible to take annual leave after completion of 6 months continuous full-time service. Sick leave is accrued at 4 hours per biweekly pay period for an annual total of 13 days. Retirement: The city participates in the Nevada Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) and pays 100% of the required contribution. Health Insurance: The city pays 100% of the premiums for employee medical, dental and vision premiums. For dependents, the city covers 50% of the premiums, with the employee providing the other 50%. The city is self-funded and medical coverage is a Consumer Driven Health Plan (CDHP); a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO); or a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO). The dental plan offers both PPO and non-PPO plans through Diversified Dental and the vision plan is administered by Vision Service Plan (VSP).
