City Manager
The City of Springfield, Ga., is conducting a search of a City Manager. Qualifications include a college degree in public administration, engineering, business administration or similar areas or equivalent. Background/experience in public administration. Abilities/knowledge of matters related to municipal administration. Must possess good organizational skills, be a good communicator, orally and through writing. Must be a good supervisor and planner. Needs working knowledge of wastewater, potable water, streets and sanitation functions. Ability to interpret engineering drawings of such. Needs to be of sound character and proven integrity. Needs to be able to readily learn city charter, relevant ordinances and resolutions, as well as, the city geography. Needs knowledge of relevant state laws and codes, particularly those involving EPD, DOT, OSHA, Accepted Accounting Principals.
Salary and Compensation include full City benefits with health and retirement. Annual salary range is $50,000 to $70,000 based on experience and qualifications.
