Video surveillance systems secure sensitive sites
With New York City, Philadelphia, and the Atlantic Ocean on its doorstep, Ocean County, NJ, faces security issues associated with a growing resident population and an influx of tourists. Recently the Countys municipal government awarded contracts to North American Video, Brick, NJ, to install video surveillance and security systems at the Countys recycling centers, a municipal parking garage in Toms River, and at schools in Point Pleasant and Brick. Two recycling centers and the Recycling Education Center received integrated video and access control systems, designed in conjunction with members of the Ocean County Solid Waste Management team who were familiar with the security challenges faced by the centers. The Ocean County Parking Garage in downtown Toms River received a 90-camera video surveillance system plus emergency call boxes and intercoms. Vandal-resistant, all-in-one dome cameras were installed throughout the facility and also at the garage entrance to capture license plate information. State-of-the-art video surveillance systems installed at the two schools feature video cameras that record to DVRs, and multiple monitoring points that enable administrators to view activities throughout the facilities. The systems can detect intruders, facilitate emergency evacuations, and also maintain a constant security vigil to further protect students and faculty by recording the history of activities on and around school premises. North American Video builds security solutions for any size installation.
