Crimp-Curving Methodology Enables Radial Roofing Designs
Curving structural roof deck panels allows architects to create entryways, lobbies, covered walkways, concourses, transit stations, parking garages, and more with radial designs such as S-curves, waves, and multiple concave/convex shapes. Crimp-curving methodology increases strength and rigidity of profiled metal panels for forming S-shaped panels up to 26 ft. long when 20- or 22-gauge nestable decking is used, or up to 20 ft. for 18-gauge decking. Requires minimal substructure, making material applicable where decking remains exposed on the underside. Panels suitable for S-curved applications include standard or acoustical nestable B-deck panels in 22- to 18-gauge steel. Exposed fastener roofing and siding panels also can be curved. Customers purchase panels from their manufacturer of choice, who will forward panels to Curveline service center for curving to desired specifications. Minimum radius varies according to panel gauge and number of curves required. Curveline, Inc., Ontario, CA
