Utah fails to set recount procedures for electronic voting machines

Utah’s first use of electronic voting machines went well, with one exception. The state still does not have a uniform method for recounting votes in close races, leaving officials in at least three counties where such races occurred wondering what to do should a candidate request a recount, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. One elections expert says the situation may lead to a lawsuit against the state.
