Seattle will bring in some experts to determine what caused a stall in the Seattle Center Monorail last week, but some residents are saying it’s time to replace the aging monorail with a streetcar. Last week’s stall was the second in a week, and the center and the company that runs the monorail want the city to spend between $4 million and $5 million to repair the system, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Two monorail activists are now urging city officials to decide if the streetcar would be a cheaper, better option.
