Webinar to offer tips on improving employee productivity

Session will be part of the Oct. 12 Local Government Summit

A webinar during the Oct. 12 Local Government Summit will offer tips to cities and counties to help them improve employee productivity and increase work hour flexibility.

Cities and counties can improve employee productivity and increase work hour flexibility by allowing secure access to IT resources from many locations. Exactly how to accomplish those goals will be the focus of a webinar on Oct. 12, during the Local Government Summit.

Keith Olinger, senior director for Microsoft's State & Local Government Core Infrastructure Practice, will be presenting a session titled, “Transforming How Your Agency Works: Productivity Tools with No Boundaries.” During the 45-minute webinar, Olinger will explain how local government employees can use new technology tools to shave time off of everyday tasks and be productive anywhere they have access to the web.

The webinar, which will be held from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. EST on Oct. 12, is part of the Local Government Summit, a one-day online conference that includes seven education sessions and a virtual exhibit hall. To register for the free event, visit the Local Government Summit online registration page.

It’s all about "connectivity" – the connection between government and its citizens, and the real and perceived benefits that arise from that. Governments manage more effectively and efficiently through greater public input and feedback.
