Voters in Pensacola, Fla., have approved the construction of a $70 million oceanfront park that will include a baseball stadium and a maritime museum. The Community Maritime Park also will feature classroom space for the University of West Florida, open space and a Pensacola Sports Hall of Fame, according to the Pensacola News Journal. Park construction, the proposal for which had led to some divisiveness in the small Gulf Coast city, may begin next year.
