New Orleans corruption trial postponed

The trial has been postponed for four New Orleans men charged with taking $1 million from an $81 million energy-efficiency contract signed by former Mayor Marc Morial. Attorneys for one of the four, Morial’s former director of property management Kerry DeCay, requested the delay, saying he is suffering from complications following a recent kidney transplant, according to the Times-Picayune. The charges are part of a multiyear federal probe of contracting practices under Morial.
