The chairman of the Miami Parking Authority, featured prominently in newspaper articles on corruption in the Miami-Dade County Housing Authority, has resigned

The chairman of the Miami Parking Authority, featured prominently in newspaper articles on corruption in the Miami-Dade County Housing Authority, has resigned. In its series “House of Lies,” The Miami Herald reported that the housing authority had paid Oscar Rivero’s development company $1.6 million for affordable housing projects that were not delivered. According to the Herald, Rivero submitted his letter of resignation on Friday and the executive director of the parking authority said Rivero wanted to “focus on some personal things.”
