Louisville, Ky., officials are disappointed by the $1.1 million grant the city recently received from the Kentucky Department of Homeland Security. The money is intended to help finance Louisville’s $70 million MetroSafe emergency communications system, according to The Courier-Journal. Last year the city complained about the state’s DHS allocating too much money to small cities around the state when Louisville is the largest city with the most targets for terrorists.
