Los Angeles Animal Services backs out of Hooters benefit

LA Animal Services drops Hooters benefit

The head of the Los Angeles Animal Services Department has decided that a bikini contest sponsored by a Hooters restaurant to benefit the department isn’t such a good idea after all. Animal services chief Ed Boks cancelled his department’s involvement in the contest after being blasted by critics, according to the Los Angeles Times. Money from the contest was to go to the city’s neutering and spaying program, part of Boks’ goal of reducing the number of animals the city has to euthanize.
