Kaua’i residents discuss water system

Residents of Kaua’i, Hawaii, are split between giving control of the island’s public water system to the county council and leaving it with the semi-autonomous county water department

Residents of Kaua’i, Hawaii, are split between giving control of the island’s public water system to the county council and leaving it with the semi-autonomous county water department. One resident said at a recent council meeting that the county could run the system well if it has a depreciation fund, according to Kaua’i World. Another accused the council members of lying about sending the issue to voters in the upcoming election.
