Ford County, Kan., officials cut $476,000 budgeted for Dodge City Raceway Park until the county commission could redo its contract with the track’s promoter. However, some members of the commission and county residents say the promoter should be replaced because the track is losing money, according to the Dodge Globe. Supporters of Promoter Mike Mathis say he should be given more time to turn around the track’s finances.
