A small-town atmosphere combined with proximity to a big city has made Goddard, Kan., the fastest growing city in the state. In the past five years the city’s population rose 57 percent and an average of seven new homes are added each month, according to The Wichita Eagle. Good schools are another draw to new residents and now the city is planning to construct two new elementary schools to keep up with the growth.
