Candidates for the Juneau, Alaska, Assembly agree that there is a connection between the city’s affordable housing crisis and the exodus of young adults. One of the candidates says the city needs more housing that young professionals can afford, while another says there are other factors that also need to be addressed to keep young people from leaving, according to the Juneau Empire. During a debate this week, the candidates also discussed putting another crossing over the Gastineau Channel and extending Juneau’s network of roads.
