A Los Angeles judge has approved a 1,100-home development in Santa Clarita, Calif., overruling protests from environmentalists who claimed that there is not enough water to support the project

A Los Angeles judge has approved a 1,100-home development in Santa Clarita, Calif., overruling protests from environmentalists who claimed that there is not enough water to support the project. The River Village development is one of several expected to bring 63,000 new homes to north Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles Times. Two other developments are expected to contain more than 20,000 homes each.
