Clara and Jose, the Peregrine Falcons that call San Jose, Calif., City Hall home, are expecting fledglings this month, and the city has set up a Webcam to catch every minute of the hatch. Working with the University of California Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group, the city focused a live, Web-streaming camera (http://falconcam.sanjoseca.gov/nest) on the falcon's nest box at City Hall, allowing anyone to watch the birds as they incubate the eggs and raise their young. The university also hosts a live online discussion forum (www.scpbrg.org) where biologists answer questions from the public about the falcons and other topics. General questions about falcons can be sent to falconet@ucsc.edu.
