Georgia Governor asks neighbors for meeting about water

Gov. Sonny Perdue sent a letter to the governors of Alabama and Florida last week asking for a personal meeting to resolve the states’ 16-year water war. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the letter followed Florida’s request in U.S. District Court for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to increase flow of water from Georgia to save dead and dying endangered mussels on dry river banks.
