Massachusetts legislators are hoping to pass $700 million in spending on projects ranging from $55 million for transportation improvements around Fenway Park to $11 million for the state’s beaches and parks. According to The Boston Globe, some fiscal conservatives are calling the spending bill, which is meant to stimulate the state’s economy, irresponsible despite a recent increase in the state’s tax revenue.
