Florida’s new Statewide Law Enforcement Radio System is now operational and will link officials from 17 agencies around Florida and even 25 miles off shore. Previously, law enforcement and emergency officials had to switch radios when traveling into a different area, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The $292 million project includes 14,000 radios.
