Delray Beach, Fla., is expected to extend health benefits to the domestic partners of city employees. Though the city commission agreed at a workshop to qualify domestic partners for the benefits usually offered to spouses, it still has to vote officially at an upcoming meeting, according to the Boca Raton News. About a dozen of the city’s 850 employees could receive the benefits.
