District of Columbia officials say a math error led to a $7.5 million deficit in the district’s contract with a company that provides security for public buildings.

District of Columbia officials say a math error led to a $7.5 million deficit in the district’s contract with a company that provides security for public buildings. The D.C. Office of Property Management (OPM) wants the district council to add the money to the $14.1 million contract with Hawk One Security, according to The Washington Times. The OPM says the deficit is a result of a miscalculation of hours Hawk One security guards would have to work.
