Colorado’s 19 state agencies that administer welfare, mental health, child care and pensions are struggling to get ready for Tuesday’s implementation of a new law aimed at preventing illegal aliens from receiving those services. The new law requires recipients of state services to show proof of citizenship or legal residency, and the agencies are trying to form a standard for checking IDs, according to the Denver Post. Most of the agencies say they expect only minor problems.
