Chicago study shows gangs moving to suburbs

A study by the Chicago Crime Commission shows that gangs are spreading into the suburbs around the city.

A study by the Chicago Crime Commission shows that gangs are spreading into the suburbs around the city. Improved methods of gang control by the city’s police department and the destruction of several high-rise projects once used as gang hideouts are some of the reasons given for the gang flight, according to the Chicago Tribune. A survey of 81 suburban police departments showed that most were experiencing gang problems.
