California towns agree to delay lawsuit over housing developments

Newport Beach, Calif., has agreed to delay its lawsuit against neighboring Irvine until October. Before that time, however, officials in the cities are expected to work out their differences

Newport Beach, Calif., has agreed to delay its lawsuit against neighboring Irvine until October. Before that time, however, officials in the cities are expected to work out their differences regarding Irvine’s approval of two housing developments, according to the Daily Pilot. An attorney for Newport Beach says the city is concerned that Irvine is approving such projects before asking for an environmental report.
