Supporting the opening of a Wal-Mart Super Center in their town could cost two Rosemead, Calif., city councilmen their positions. Local and national opponents of Wal-Mart have pushed for a recall of the two since they voted in favor of the store more than two years ago, but Wal-Mart has spent $300,000 to fight back, according to the Los Angeles Times. The new store is 12 miles away from downtown Los Angeles, making it the first to open in the Los Angeles Basin.
