Supporting the opening of a Wal-Mart Super Center in their town could cost two Rosemead, Calif., city councilmen their positions. Local and national opponents of Wal-Mart have pushed for a recall of the two since they voted in favor of the store more than two years ago, but Wal-Mart has spent $300,000 to fight back, according to the Los Angeles Times.
