Employees get their kicks on for Route 66 Marathon

The city paid the registration fee for all full-time city employees who wanted to participate in the quarter, half and full marathons and a 5K run/walk, and it gave team members T-shirts with the city's new logo.

In all, 55 people joined Team Claremore for the marathon and supporting events, and city officials hope to organize a bigger team for the 2009 event.
