The Bangor, Maine, City Council voted to build a maintenance building at its municipal golf course despite misgivings about the more than $500,000 cost of what one council member called a “storage barn.” The council members agreed that the new building was needed, according to the Bangor Daily News. And though the golf course has a large reserve of cash, the council voted to borrow the money for the new building.
