Besieged by annexation efforts from nearby Charleston and Folly Beach, some residents of James Island, S.C., are trying to incorporate the community. But a new group has risen saying incorporation of the island, which failed twice before, would be a waste of money and efforts to do so only encourage attempts at annexation, according to The Post and Courier.
