Cincinnati launches economic development Web site
Cincinnati has launched an interactive Web site, www.choosecincy.com, aimed at attracting businesses and jobs. The site is intended to provide timely information to make Cincinnati more competitive for site selectors and developers interested in doing business in the city.
The site features reporting tools, mapping capabilities, search functions and a foreign language translator. "The new Web site signifies a huge step forward on how we communicate with the economic development community as we seek new investors and bring jobs to Cincinnati," said Interim Economic Development Director Patrick Ewing. "This will help us to further compete in a global economy."
The city's Economic Development Division contracted with locally based Cincinnati Topic Design Group to design the Web site. The site includes a tool that allows visitors to create custom reports, making it easier for economic development professionals to share information on Cincinnati in professional presentations. Also, nearly all of the site's content can be saved and shared through an integrated e-mail and social network distribution feature, or exported to PDF format.
