2014 NGLCC Policy & Procurement Forum

On Nov. 20, the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) will convene the National Business Inclusion Consortium (NBIC) as part of the NGLCC's upcoming 2014 Policy and Procurement Forum.

Highlights of the event include:

*The "Washington Leadership Lunchion: A Look Forward" from noon to 1:30 p.m. During this luncheon, participants will hear from top House Ways and Means Committee and Senate Finance Committee members and staff as well as leaders from the U.S. Departments of Treasury and Commerce.
*An afternoon of invitation-only discussion regarding tax reform and repatriation of earnings. This event, the first of its kind, will bring together diverse small business advocacy organizations and the corporate community to discuss how the two groups can work together to attain mutually-beneficial solutions on these issues.
*Businesses owned by lesbians, gays, bisexuals and the transgender (LGBT) will have an afternoon of educational programming on federal government procurement and how to produce the best results.
*Friday, Nov. 21 will feature meetings between LGBT-owned businesses and federal procurement decision makers and prime federal contractors at the third annual NGLCC Federal Procurement Fair.
*The fair will end with a gala at the National Building Museum celebrating the achievements of the men and women of the business equality movement.
The NBIC also includes the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce, the Women's Business Enterprise National Coaltion, the U.S. Business Leadership Network: Disability at Work, The National Black Justice Coalition and WEConnect International. The event will take place at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Washington, D.C.
